A16 Ultra, ADAT or Zlink?

A place to talk about whatever Scope music/gear related stuff you want.

Hi all, I have an A16 Ultra and it´s connected to my 15 DSP board trought Zlink, but in this mode the A 16 don´t be as a master clock, don´t transmit anything for Zlink connections, only ADAT is available.
What do you think is the best way to connect:
1. ZLink cables and Scope as master clock.
2. A16 as master clock, Scope slave trought wordclock and signal go to ADAT.
What do you think about this?
Thank you in advance

1, unless you have a master clock and syncplate, then 2 with the matser clock slaving both scope and a16.

Thank you, I don´t have a Master clock unit, but have syncplate. I looking for to minimize jitter effects on A16 Ultra because use it to mix and record all my instruments and voice and all my monitors is connected to it. I read a book from Bob Katz and he say that the master clock must be the unit that contain AD /DA converters to improve sound and reduce jitter. But in this mode i can´t connect the A16 with Zlink, only trought ADAT outputs.
Best regards

either should work just fine. you could try both ways and use your ears. if you can't tell, it doesn't matter......
