At the moment I have one card with keys for Poison and Modular 2.
Is it true that if I buy a second card, I have to pay to get the old keys transferred to the new card if it is linked by the STDM cable?
How does the whole keys thing work when you have two cards linked in the same PC?

Nope, if you are planning to use the old card and new card together, you don't need to do anything. If you were replacing the old card and wanted to keep Mod2, etc., you'd have to pay to have the licenses transferred to the new card.

Sounds good to me! That's what I hoped.

Can anyone give me a second opinion?

Excellent. I think a summer sizzler will be on its way to me very soon.
Thanks for your help.

I've just added 6dsp's to my pulsar1. I've bought a second hand pulsar 2 with mod2 and some other new (for me) devs like the sts-3000 sampler. After connecting it to my pc and to the old board using the stdm cable, I've just installed the software as always and now I'm very happy
Nothing to pay

P.s.: Compared to modular1, modular2 is much more powerfull! I love it!

Just one more little question:

Does Scope 4 work OK under Win98 SE? I read somewhere that Win ME or better is required.

dunno for sure about 4.0, but 3x works GREAT on 98. afaik, 4.0 is the same driver so it should work as well.

Win ME was just Win 98SE with some extras. My experience of ME is that it was slower and more problem-prone than 98 SE. It had some extras for networking and that was it.

Has anyone got Scope 4 working with 98 SE?

I haven't used 98 for several years, but 3.x was fine, and 4.0 should be fine also. AFAIK it still comes with 2 drivers, one for 98 and one for 2k/XP. If in doubt, simply use 3.x, it still works great.
