Everything was fine until today,
I have a SFP professional (with the 2 adat optical i/o and the balanced analog cables
0) plus or something ?
I always synced fine with the adat optical cable. now suddenly the a16 has a red led stuck on the adat sync indicator and there is no led on in the sample rate indicators.
and obviously ,, no audio comes out from the outputs.
I ve tried to change the sampling freq from sfp but no signs of life .
THe media player and the other application seems to work fine since i can see the signal in the main mixer LIVE been sent to the adat outs 1 and 2
I don't know what to do anymore.
I also tought maybe the the cables , but both of them carry the red light when in the output.so they work fine.
Any idea ?
maybe is broken ?
but how ? I din't do anything .
I v'e restarted the computer 500 times with different config. and nothing.
is there any way to maybe HARD Reset the
unit
maybe is in mute mode
Bye

A16 ULTRA WON'T SYNC WITH SCOPE FUSION
No garyb !That it is not a dumb question at all.
I've also tried to sync the scope to the a16 and and no luck.
In case the cables are bad , how do i clean the adat ports ? and how do I check if the cables are bad ? I can see the red light but that not implies that it works..... right ?

the red light should be a good indicator, but it is not absolutely reliable as proof. afaik, the only way to check for proper cable operation is to try another cable/swap positions. compressed air should do the cleaning trick.
you should only need one cable to get sync, an output if a16 is master or an input if scope is master. i would think that it would be very unusual for both directions to go bad....the a16 HAS power right(not a bad wall wart..)?
