nice studio! :smile: Is this the one they built during the postproduction of Return of the King?
There's a bit in the extended dvd that shows how they were trying to mix the sound for that even though they were still constructing the studio around them! :grin:

Pardon my stupidity but is this how they usually mix film sound..... in a theatre? Or is this a new trend due to the surround features? Makes sense regardless.

Mixing to the full show ? Seems logical, but there is an alternate view which is less intuitive, but to me seems more attractive. A link someone here posted a while ago, but worth a read if you haven't seen it:

Absurdity makes me laugh. I can just see Darth Vader sitting behind that console and shouting "Set a course for Alderaan!"

Then he looks around, sees he's the only one sitting in the giant absurd cinema, and takes off his helmet and cries a little.
