Pulsar in Windows

Hi all Im a new user I just got my Pulsar II board yesterday.Ive got a question: i get distorsion when i play sounds i windows (winamp) and i dont have loaded a pulsar project.Is there anyway of controling the directsound output without haveing to start the pulsarsoftware.Im mean just haveing the trayicon in the right corner

open pulsar
make project containing 'wav source->analog out' only
got view->settings->global->'project as startup'
make sure 'Activate startup project' is enabled.

You can also
add a micro mixer to
the startup project,
and with a right click on
the pulsar icon you can control it.
