Lo end

Someone was recently talking about lo end of mutronics mutator compared to interpole.
I've heard a lot of vintage effects pedals this week,compared to re-issues,and find(even with analogue)that there's no "squelchy" bottom end anymore.
Is this by design?

That was probably in reference to the tests I did on the yahoo forum. To make a long story short the minimax/interpole filter correctly emulates the hipass of the originals, hence the lack of low end with high resonance settings.
