Is SCOPE home powerfull enough for modular?

I would like to know if SCOPE home card is powerfull enough for Modular II (and III) synth or are there some limitations (probably yes, can u describe its performance?).

You can load some patches, but not all....for me it's not enough for anything regarding synthesis or heavy processing, it's only a great routing card. Go for project or pro.

in short, the only restriction for loading patches are the DSPs, and in some cases pci capacity of your computer. you can load a bunch of lightweight patches on a ScopeHome, but the heavy stuff won't be possible, especially if you want polyphonic things going on.

I need it for hardcore / breakcore / tekno production. Mainly for FX and lead, so in most cases I will be happy with one voice only.
According to percentual DSP load of modules presented at http://www.modularsynth.co.uk it seems to be enough (3 DSPs) for me.

The fact is that some of the better patches available won't even load a single voice in 3 dsp. Anyway, you can always add a second card later, but you'll start missing the best....

You need 6 DSP at least to start moving with synths, modular and FX ... I mean at 44.1 / 48 Khz you can load a single instance of whatever at one voice minimum except for heavy modular patches and Solaris 3 at full power ...

Please, can somebody post a link to example screenshot (and/or mp3 sound example) of what can be done on 3 DSP card at 44khz resolution / one voice. But not the simplest one, I think someting with moderate load of 3 DSP card.

I think this one will nearly max out a Scope Home, at one voice. Add a small mixer to mix it with ASIO to Analog Dest and you're there.

Check Ebay then, especially if you are german : lot of turnover there unfortunately for foreigners there are few willing to ship outside Germany ...
Because if you're disappointed by what you've bought, at least you didn't pay it too much and can resell good !
