Few days ago I went to a local store where I bought my Luna II few years ago. I was trying to buy ADAT expansion card. Salesperson in the store told me that they have expansion cards for SCOPE home, and that they're different from the ones for Luna II.
I'm confused now! Is it true that this "new" expansion is different piece of hardware or what?
Help me please cause I'm desperate now. I don't know what to do! I don't want to dump my Luna in garbage and go for a different soundcard, but I really need adat option to connect it to my converter and hardware mixer.

But...
My next question is...
If I have Scope software ver 3.1, and I don't have ver 4.0, will that make problems if I purchase ADAT expansion when registering my new hardware in Scope software? What if Scope 3.1 can't initialize hardware?
By the way, can I upgrade my 3.1 to 4.0 free of charge or I have to pay for software upgrade?

If your Luna2 works fine now, it'll work fine with the extension board.
ABout SFP4, you'd have to check on your page on Creamware site, it'll list your registered hardware and wether SFP4 is available for it. Then it's just a matter of downlading the sofware, your keys to go with it, and to activate it thru the email process.

hardware IOs aren't registered separately, they are just recognized and activated by the basic Scope software.
The difference between 3.1 and 4.0 is more or less cosmetically imho. You can check people's opinion via the search function of this board.
The most significant feature is the activation of 4.0 on CWA's site to switch the shop into 50% mode for one plugin buy - immediately after activation.
You don't need to download and install the software for that purpose, you just request 4.0 from CWA.
They will mail you a code that is used for 'activation' (an item of the webpage). You may deliberately repeat the activation until your fed up with 50% buys (not all items available, though) - it commonly known as the '50% bug of the shop software' and given the time it is known to CWA, it's probably highly appreciated by them to wash some cash in
cheers, tom
