Setting samplerate in VSTi's and ASIO apps

Bit cofused about samplerate.

I'm using the 24 bit ASIO 2 driver so does that mean anything I play in asio apps is running at 24/96 already or do I also have to set the samplerate in Scope settings to 96 too (I thought that applied just to Scope's synths but maybe not)? Also some apps have their own dialogues for selecting samplerate (e.g in Reaktor it go's up to 176400) - do I need to set that to exactly the same rate as Scope's samplerate is set too or can one override the other?

Assuming that the scope is your main card then sample rates set within your card are the ones that all vsti will conform to. As for reaktor I believe these sample rates are independant of the sound card and are thus internal eg. you can set a very low bit sample rate within reaktor but your audio project will still be at whatever your card was set to.
