Hey you guys!

I reach the ripe old age of 40 tomorrow!

I hope to make a posting of my first mastering of whatgoesaround on the .music forum for then (either this evening or tomorrow). A little birthday present, if you like.

I'm having a joint party with a very good friend from work, Brian, who (due to a rather complicated set of circumstances), is moving to France early next week  Work just won't be the same (or as noisy) without him. There shall be a monster bonfire at the party as he's burning pretty much everything that isn't going to France with him (and is combustible).

Just wanted to say a big thanks for all your help, fun and inspiration over the last year-and-a-half (or thereabouts).

My recent approach towards this age has been a little scary (AKA terrifying), but I'm starting to like it, as it's extremely motivational!

40 says (to me), "Yup, you're going to die, it's inevitable! GET THE HELL ON WITH IT!!"

So hopefully I'll stop procrastinating so much and get on with making some more music!

I let my 40th slip past without fanfare. But agree that it IS a motivational moment. It's like you have used up your 'free' time.

Yes, a lot of birthdays in february indeed!
Hmmm, my birthday is tomorrow on valentines day. I feel a bit lonely here because I will turn 27
But anyway, age is just a number. It's about how you feel, isn't it?

Congrats everybody

It was a cracking party. Brian's now sailing away to start his "new" life in France...

I drank rather too much vodka...

Lots of drunken fun was had chucking huge tree trunk logs onto the bonfire (my arms now have slightly less hair than before...)

Thanks for all the good wishes!
