I liked it - great atmosphere and good production too. I wasn't too funned about the bass-sound and it's programming that you introduced near the end. It seemed out of place in the context of all the other (wellchosen) sounds, and it seemed out of sync with the rythm of the track!? But I agree with the idea that something is needed there - maybe just a different sound and rythm...

But all in all a nice track!

Cheers!
Thomas

I like the idea of the 'sketch' and agree that the Rhodes isn't enought to carry it on through the track. Some additions were needed.
Some, but not all
you picked a few brilliant effects, tasty sounds, acoustic surprises, but it doesn't melt - it tears the piece apart imho.

Strings and brass are great, but then the 'phasing' of drums and claps adds too much.
The fx spoken voice would benefit from a less mid oriented filter, the isolated bass sound is also rather hollow.

My preference would be a very deep* round bass with few harmonics (you have a lot going on in the mids) and also the 'speak' filter tuned down an octave.

Have you ever tried a triangle sound instead of the hi-hat ? It's a must for chart scoring...

Aside from the mid emphasis I find the track sonically well produced, but more important - it has potential
You may focus on 2 of 5 ideas in one version and make your own remix focused on 2 other ones.
*edit: possibly difficult not to interfere with your kick - listening w. cans

cheers, Tom

Hi thanks for the coments.

i have changed a few bits. got the bass sound more in time/ rythmically pleasing and the main thing was change the rhodes to a piano. as i felt it sounded to much like a tonka toy sound/ casio keyboard worth about 20 quid.

wot i've also just realised is that the track itself would probably suite very much, one of those charity/ famin/ please give us your money adverts.. lol

may upload the new version soon.

Thanks.
