Hi all,
maybe you can help me make up my mind;
I'm looking for a way to record multiple audio tracks simultaniously (the asio outputs of Logic on my PC), so I thought of getting me VDAT. Then I thought that I (might) also want an advanced wav file editor. TripleDAT LE sprung to mind.
So we have VDAT and tripleDAT LE.
Will tripleDAT LE be able to record multiple tracks simultanously like VDAT? Burning CDs is a nice addition in tripleDAT LE. I'm not running an ADAT, so that won't be a reason to opt for VDAT. From what I could find, is VDAT just a multitrack application.
To me it looks tripleDAT LE is a 1 on 1 competitor of Wavelab, with SFP FX instead of VST/DX FX.
I guess it will be tripleDAT LE for me or are there reasons to go for VDAT?
All advice is welcome,
Cheers
Ronald

You can give a try at Samplitude
http://www.samplitude.com/de/news.htm
Best sounding app in the world, with Saw Studio (better than Pro Tools and Nuendo). Recording, Mixing, Mastering, Wave Editing, CD audio and DVD audio burning, outstanding internal plugins, MIDI.
If you need a sound with no compromises, Samplitude can effectively do the job.

Been thinking about that, but never given it a chance. I tried recording the main output into Wavelab5, but that gave crackles and noize, maybe it was the sample rate, I'll need to experiment more.On 2005-01-04 23:41, valis wrote:
Why not route audio back into Logic and record there?

Try recording to a named (pre-allocated) file instead of a temporary file (you can choose in WaveLab). This helped me.On 2005-01-05 17:50, RoonSmits wrote:Been thinking about that, but never given it a chance. Recording back into Logic really is the easiest and most elegant thing here in my opinion. Its quite easy as well, simply route the mix of whatever you want from SFP back into an ASIO input, assign an audiotrack object in Logic's environment to that ASIO input (don't forget to set mono/stereo and MUTE the object) then record arm and assign to an arrange track (if it isn't already). Hit * on your numpad to record and you're on your way...
Absolutely...can't understand why another app should be used...On 2005-01-06 03:58, valis wrote:
