Dear friends,
Is there something like this analyzer tools: (http://www.masterpinguin.de click software or RME DIGICheck) available for the CW-platform as insert ?
1. High resolution digital peak meter.
2. Real-time audio spectrum analyzer.
3. Correlation meter.
4. Stereo monitor oscilloscope.
In detail:
FFT Spectrum: Possibility to store, compare 8 snapshots in a new window
Levelmeter :
Option 1 : Combination of PPM and averaged VU on the same scale
Option 2 : PPM and TRUE RMS which reflects Loudness in a primitive way
Option 3 : K-System (3 diff. scales) Meter which is really the metering standard of the coming millenium. See Mr. Bob Katz, a very experienced US mastering pioneer, whose paper "An Integrated Approach to Metering, Monitoring, and Levelling Practices" is published in AES Journal 9/2001.
It's juste a question...
THX,
Jan

Professional audio analyzer tool
Although the GUI of SFP looks very nice, it also is quite heavy on resources. Too heavy, at least, to run fast the gfx that you mention. For that, we hook up a native analyser to a Wave Dest and connect that Wave driver to the points we want to measure. So on SFP we use Pinguin, VUmeter.exe,... for analysing audio. Hey, one of our own members even made us an (native) FFT analyser!
