Deoxit 100% for cleaning, then 5% for final conditioning (95% protectant oil, 5% cleaner)

They also make gold versions.

I would love to help him find someone who knows how to port drivers to 64bit...certainly more than someone to help him clean up that web dev's overlooked mess.

Re: Windows 11

Microsoft is bringing another Linux feature to Windows… although it’s an optional feature aimed at power users. Sudo for Windows is a command line tool that works a lot like its Linux counterpart, allowing users to run commands that require elevated permissions on a case-by-case basis. In other wor...

Re: Reason 12 is almost here!

So it looks like they have also long since fixed the 512 buffer fixed size. Good to know, it might be useful to use the free version for some tape sim processing and light mastering at some point.

Between this, Reaper & Resolve free, things look fairly good for simple home uses.

Re: Reason 12 is almost here!

UAD touts the "tight integration with Apollo" interfaces as a big part of Luna, would be interesting to see if it simply works with any ASIO hardware. Since there is a free tier of Luna for download, that seems possible but I would wonder if it defaults to a lower set of features in that c...

I'm sure there are plenty of tasks/things that can be allocated to efficiency cores.

Re: Reason 12 is almost here!

I'm still patiently awaiting Scope 8, and run 2 machines both legacy and modern. ... Logic still reigns supreme for me--alongside Scope. Unfortunately, my Logic is a Emagic Logic Audio Platinum w/ USB dongle still,- running on a slow G4 dual PPC machine. It has RME inside too and Alex Hixon JamPort...

Re: Reason 12 is almost here!

I'm still patiently awaiting Scope 8, and run 2 machines both legacy and modern. My use of Reason has always been limited as a sidecar to a Logic production workflow, and as one who has owned Cubase SX/Nuendo, Studio One (still have my legacy licenses of both) and has current versions of both Live S...

Re: Windows 11

Not sure which you mean obsolete, the drivers or the drives themselves? The drivers were needed because the NVMe spec was created after Win7's initial gestation, and so the default Win7 installation doesn't support that protocol. I have not needed a driver for anything when installing Win10/11, and ...

Re: Windows 11

Also note that this means that you can install with an installation key to test, you do not actually have to purchase a key to test if Win11 will install. Obviously, the easiest way to do this is by using a different drive, or imaging your current drive to make it back up before installing the new o...

The key is an installation key, and it should be retail. See the following links for an explanation of the differences between RTM Retail and KMS Client product keys, and between activation and installation keys (installation keys do not activate, but allow installation). https://www.elevenforum.com...

Re: Windows 11

I buy keys for typically $29 USD, I see them frequently advertised on tech sites and if you use them shortly after buying them they always work. Win11 Pro needs to be specified when purchasing (the keys are no longer interchangeable with Win10 as they were when Win11 launched). Here's an example on ...
