Spirit, what a fine job you've done. The layout is clear and the range of sounds is surprisingly large given the simple circuitry. There could have been a few more presets, but I do like the concept that you can sequence it; play it from the ModV2 step sequencer; or play it from the keyboard.
Are you working on anything else?

Hey Spirit, Sorry that I haven't responded to your Modular patch yet, I took a look and it looks really impressive, but haven't loaded it up yet.
Edit. Checked it out, sounds great, a few ideas: How about 2xMiniMixers instead of the Mix8? This way, you have Volume AND Panning for each drum, and a Stereo Output.
Another nice option, would be to have the basedrum with an FX insert for a Compressor, or route it outside for external dynamics.
I liked the presets too, good demonstration of your patch, and the sequences helped get a feel for how it might be used. Did you notice that your sound demonstration link links to a text file here? Perhaps it could be replaced with an MP3 of the Stereo version
Keep up!

Thanks Subhuman. I hope I didn't sound bitter, I was really trying for humour. But I do wonder sometimes why so many Pulsar users are silent (not you of course!) - and I thought I was the silent type...
Thanks for your comments. Yes, I can see a compressor might be better - I'll definitely incorporate one. And the mixers would also give the panning option. I had hoped to do this via the auto-pan module. I even posted a question about how to achieve it since I can't get it to work - funny since it works easily in my "normal" synth patches... Unfortunately no one replied which could mean either that no one knows or no one cares. Maybe both.
On the MP3 front, Ben Walker did an MP3 over at Modular Corner which was damned good.

The reason this link has a JPEG is that I included a shot of the Project set-up. It took me a little while to figure out how to have a project which could simultaneously:
- play the ModV2 step sequencer
- play the sounds on a midi keyboard
- play into Soundforge for sampling
- have Soundforge playback
All without changing aything on your amp or software. No big deal I suppose, but I spent a day fiddling - and such things are good for newbies.
cheers,
Spirit

moderately good overall
praise - nice intelligent layout - good selection of oscillators and fx routings
blame - lacking presets - drum synth modules are quite dsp heavy; perhaps use perc oscillators for two of the drum synths to even things out . . .
overall, better than the "analog drum machine" which comes with mod2, IMHO
looking forward to v2. . .
and the Lo-Fi B-Box v1 is emminently forthcoming . . .
