I used to work in 16 bit but ever since I switched to Nuendo, everything's gone 24 bit.. and I didn't know 'till I checked preferences and the defaul was set to 24. So I guess it's not VERY noticable. But I remember thoroughly comparing 16 and 32 bits and found reverbs to work much better in 32 bit. The difference was pretty noticable.
And since 32 bit will double the data flow compared to 16 bit, it's probably going to make things harder on the bus (and host program). I'm not a specialist but I'm guessing someone (sub?) could assist you better at this.
Totally off topic but I just came back from a shopping spree.. Man, things are starting to look festive! "It's beginning to look a lot like Christmaaassss..." Guess what I got... clothes! Remember them? It's not an instrument, it's not part of a PC, not a synth, not a soft synth either, no it's not an expansion board.. Ahh, sorry for the dumb reply. hehe.
