nice review, i like reading stuff like this...the micron is indeed a cute little machine, i was tempted for a while myself (back before i started using scope)...most of the demos i have seen do make it seem a little bland sound-wise, except for this one (its an ion, but as stated in the link they ha...

has anyone bought the 'cos' or 'void' synths?

i wonder what people think about them? i have a nord rack 2 which im not so crazy about, so id be more interested in 'void', though it would be interesting to see how 'cos' compares w/ the nord. wish there were some demos provided, especially when the price is so high...come to think of it, i have b...

im far from an expert on this stuff, but to me that patch doesnt sound particularly remarkable, it think it is indeed the way its played (as stated above)...that said, have you checked out the 'synth secrets' articles from soundonsound? here is a link to a part on synthesizing brass instruments, wit...

!

yes the 'a' button is a great feature, but i was still a little perplexed by the MSE modules. i wasnt at all concerned about a manual until i tried using these in a patch. anyway having checked out the tutorial ive more or less worked it out - ill try to make a patch as described in the first post a...

flexor3 manual?

when can we expect this? i tend not to read manuals at all, but im looking forward to this one, as im sure it will benefit future patches. id like to know about the flexor multi-segment envelopes in particular, as i can understand how to use most of the other modules, but those envelopes are beyond ...

im loving it! i think the 'massivo' patch is the best amongst the presets. the 303 patch it nice but i dont think you can emulate that sound very well in a digital synth, plus i think much of its character comes from its quirky sequencer - so unless you recreate that in some way it wont sound like a...

'silkworm' flex3 synth w/ presets (audio sample inside)

ok heres my first 'proper' flexor 3 patch and first time to share a mod patch with you people - hope it works...req mod3 and flexor3. its a monophnic, two osc synth (one w/ sub osc) using the rubber filter and one of the comb filters plus a delay and note sequencer - all flexor modules. audio sample...

good work! its interesting that people are still being allured to scope, despite having practically no publicity, and not such great marketing even when creamware were still operating (hopefully soniccore can do better in this regard) - not to mention how long its been around... if anything, i think...

agree w/ scope4 - the manuals are pretty good - i think some of the info from them should make it on to the product description page for these synths... also, i gather that the 'flexor technology' is used for some of the effects - for example there 'warp' and 'squish' options for distortion - also n...

The fact that he could make up to $300,000 without giving anyone anything in return also feels wrong to me. thats the genius of it. i doubt they will get anywhere near 150k, but say if 10,000 people (still pretty far fetched i think) buy into this scam, thats still pretty good money, for minimal ef...

physical modelling seems a rather neglected form of synthesis. i remember having fun w/ the 'steampipe' (i think it was called) synth in reaktor making weird feedback drones and such, you can make some interesting textures, kind of 'earthy' or 'organic' synth sounds. you can hear some sounds of the ...
