I don't generally post to this board because I can usually get the answer I need by doing a search instead. Only problem is though that sometimes someone will have the same prob as me, get advice, but then never post to say it works or not! Can people please do that! Cheers!

What not works is the fact, that the threads ,and all the energy put into helping people, looses some of its value, because others can not come and search the forum and KNOW if something worked, because many people do not pay the effort to come back and say, if the trick actually helped them.

I agree, but sometimes when they say it didn't work, maybe they didn't implement the solution correctly, or didn't understand what to do.
Of course that if the guy with the problem confirms that the advice worked, it would be great. But if the advice didn't work for him, it may not tell that the advice is useless.
Furthermore, some problems that are raised often require more than one tweak to fix at one's machine, while others who experience similar problem will require only the advised single tweak to fix it, if you know what i mean...
Therefore, when someone gives here an advice that seems reasonable, maybe it would be best to try it anyway.
