Hi All,

Sorry to bother you all with my newbie questions.

Back in the early days (as we speak, 2 days ago ) I use to have the possibility of connecting a MIDI channels output straight to my PowerPulsar board from within Cubase SX 1.03 version.

Nowadays I can only connect from Cubase to PowerPulsar through an emulated version.

(e.g. out:Creamware MIDI In/Out [Emulated])

Everything is working but I find it rather strange that I don't have this former choice anymore.

Does anybody know what might be the problem?

Thanks in advance for your help.

This is a well known & documented Cubase SX issue (which they keep promising to fix).

Look in Program FilesSteinbergCubase SXMIDI Port Enabler (or the dir you installed to) and copy "ignoreportfilter" into the main Program FilesSteinbergCubase SX directory. You will now see both the [Emulated] and physical ports. Avoiding the emulated ones (you can disable them inside sx's device setup) will improve midi timing substantially.
