As far as I know it wouldn't be a problem since the new bios for the P4Pe only adjust the FSB of the board to match up with the 800 Fsb CPU's and therefore also needs DDR400 memory to work. The PCIbus is untouched and is still running in spec.

yep, you can however overclock the PCI bus with some other boards...
but your PCI bus is left alone by default in most cases, with those recent mobos anyways.
I had my P4 1.6Ghz running at 2.32 Ghz (that's 145FSB VS 100FSB stock) and it worked fine... I push those things hard, burn them in, and run SETI, folding @ home and try out some complicated Cubase + Pulsar + Kontakt mixes... it works just fine...
