my heart, my wife, the damned ringclocks and all that ugly awful strange and scary kind of noises from urban places but also the birds, the wind, the cool balance of the waves and sea breeze upon beach on sunset...

Funny that I've been listening to many same good music as all of you above and for some more not mentioned yet,... "an unforgetable concert from Massive Attack last week, over Lisbon", cassandra wilson, peter gabriel, didier lockwood, james hardaway, cinematic orch., radiohead, fila brazillia, bill bruford, nana vasconcelos, belle&sebastien, ...and I've been away from my projects

univers zero, ceux du dehors (strange 'fusion' music, it's got a medi eval feel, excellent musicians (crazy enough, the drummer wrote most of the rather complex tunes... sorry if i offend any drummers

). fans of the darker side of zappa, should check this out.)

Yeah Borg, Venetian Snares is very very cool (I forgot to mention them actually !) - but I prefer his earlier stuff I think - maybe goes a LITTLE bit over the top in the latest one ? Dunno, listen to his earlier stuff more - but god he's a very creative man.

Univers Zero is predictable. In a good manner so you know what to expect from them on other albums

What about SPK? This is hard to find any of their albums here but I've heard some of their compositions and it looks like it depends on a period of time - good or not music. Anyone could close up SPK's music, por favor?

First part of the show is Montreal's own Hamadryad!

Lou Reed - Metal Machine Music

The best album ever recorded in the history of the world!!! In fact, it is a double album set which increases the entertainment value by a factor of two.

It's actually better if you can find it on vinyl because then you will also get the added benefit of the occasional pops & clicks which unfortunately, were missing on the CD release.

I was one of the only people in the world to actually listen to the entire album from start to finish because I was afraid I was going to miss something important in the middle somewhere.

i never knew anyone that listened to the whole thing but i have listened to a few merzbow (japanoise) cd's all the way through. mainly because he uses my favorite synth the ems vcs3.

I discovered an amazing composer named
Heinrich Ignaz Franz von BIBER
His stuff is awesome, soothing and invigorating!

Dvorak string quartets

Bach organ stuff- powerful counterpoint!

Canadian brass -man! This band totally rocks! They're more on the classical side, but I've rarely heard so tight an ensemble, - and this is the drummer in me speaking!

Debussy -fabulous textural composing.

Of course, I've listened to silence more than any other music! And bird's songs- the most beautiful melodic gems on Earth!
