I just upgrade my os to xp: everithing is ok and the system is very fast and stable, but i can't read akai's disk from kotakt (i'd try version 1.1 and 1.2).
I downloaded the new aspi installer, the cd2000.dll and the akai.dll from cw ftp but still don't work.
Is there some special setting that can solve the prob?
Thanx

Can you read AKAI disks with STS?
If yes, what about saving to HD your most frequently used sounds with the help of sfp?
Well, I know that my tip doesn't really solve this propplemmm ...

It's a Kontakt problem.. while I love it, it's fair to say that it is riddled with bugs. Unfortunately, NI seems much more concerned with releasing new products than fixing stuff... (I pity the poor Battery users...)
peace

I saw a link to an Unofficial patch for Kontakt on some music forum a while back, and for some reason I kept the link
This patch apparently fixes the Akai bug for version 1.2.0.020 of Kontakt but may work on older versions. Apparently it worked for the people that were on that forum, so it might be worth trying until NI sort the bug out officially

Hope that helps
