Hi I'm concidering buying a Luna2 card. But does anyone know how many audiotracks at a time the Luna2 card can play?
Does the numbers of tracks effect the computer cpu in any way. Or is a better computer equal to more tracks ? Thankyou.

Hi,
the number of audio-tracks is depending to your CPU, hard-disk, audio-interface and buffer-size (lantency)
If you own a fast hard-disk (have a look to fast IDE-drives with 8 MB cache) its possible to run up to 100 audio-tracks in 24 bit.
Luna is a good chioce because the masterverb is included

Yes, a powerfull computer equal to more tracks...

The computer audiosoft has also to be considered: a clever soft equal to more audiotracks with the same computer...

Sonar, Samplitude, gives more audiotracks than Cubase and Logic...

Sonic Foundry is also to be considered.

Grok
