Hi Sonar/Pulsar users,

I just found out that on my computer, Sonar is over-compensating for latency when recording with ASIO drivers. The recording is slightly ahead of where it's supposed to be. It's worse when using higher latencies; at 1.5ms latency the recording is dead-on. Of course, 1.5ms latency isn't that stable; so I like to record at 23.2ms. But the recordings are off-beat. I was wondering if anyone else has had that problem? Send a MIDI track to a Pulsar synth, record it, and see if the MIDI track and the audio recording are in sync with each other.

Current workaround: Put a 23.2ms delay on the recording inputs in Pulsar, and make it 100% wet and 0% dry (no feedback). That worked, but it's going to be annoying.

Hmm....

Thanks in advance,

Shayne

Shayne,

That's the same crap we had with the WDM driver (before the new beta one).

Sorry, I can't test this out till maybe the weekend...
