Problems with AKAI samples

I'm running my pulsar on winxp, and my cd-rom is an IDE device, so no aspi driver will solve this. My problem is that i can't read akai cd samples.
Does anyone have any clue?

IDE oe SCSI, you still need aspi layer...

Especialy on WinXP with no SCSI... Cuz XP removed support for aspi layer from adaptec due to some license issues, XP himself implemented a native access layer, but most programs are still not aware of this, or not using it, so you NEED aspi layer installed...
