Hi guys,

I have a firewall on my PC that tells me which programs is accessing the internet, beside ofcourse if someone(something?) is trying to access my PC.
Hooray, I hear you say

From time to time, it tells me that SFP.EXE is transmitting, I have not yet figured out what.

Now, I don't think that CW is up to no good, but does anyone know what this is about ?

Just curious,

Cheers

I use Zone Alarm for this firewall thing, I had no tries from my SFP, maybe your SFP is corrupted by another file?

Curious indeed.

it might just check if a net is available at all, because of the registration string stuff for regular/demo devices.
But better to watch out anyway.

just an idea, Tom

i don't have any idea, but something funny to report.
in past years i've been using the "panda" antivirus, and suddenly one day it found a terrible trojan on my machine and guess where? in the cubase vst 3.7r2 upgrade file!
of course it was bull***t, and after some contacts with panda sw, i got their excuses.

currently i'm not using anything as protection, and my actual music machine has never been connected to the web.

sorry for the off topic, but so it bumps...
i'm curious...

I don't use any protection because I burn an image of my hard drive to CDs.

My Mac SFP doesn't try to connect to internet. I would have known it because my internet connection is set to allow each app to connect to internet if it requires it to do so. I would have seen it because if n app tries to get to internet a message apears on the screen.

SFP = searching for perfection.
