I'm a new pulsar user, i'm looking for an effect that looks like equlizer but controls only volume, the sound comes from one direction, passes from slider to slider and its volume is set by the sliders position... anyone know something like that?

hi assaf and welcome !

does this refer to a multitap delay panned in the stereo panorama ?
'Multitap S' under SFP effects menu does the same but with a different interface.
There are several multitap devices in the download section like the 'MaryJane'.

cheers, Tom

After reading your question out loud for a couple of times, are you refering to something along the lines of a DJ mixer? DJ mixers have the 2 volume sliders for independant channels, and a crossfader to "position" the sound depending on it's pan setting (right/left). If so, I'm almost positive there's a freebie DJ mixer for the Pulsar system, and that might be what you're after. Best of luck, and welcome aboard!

if i understand you correctly, you're after some kind of step sequencer controlling the volume. i think there might be a solution in modular. if you work with midi, the velocity might be a solution in some cases.
but i think the answer can be found in modular.

thanks for the reply,

sorry, it's not a delay effect but a totaly voulme effect , i saw a guy in the store where i bought the pulsar playing an electric guitar and the sound was fragmented by an effect (they are closed for vacation) , it's like setting 8 sliders or something like that, few up, few down ,each one acts on a time slice ,and it plays the sound through it with the volume level according to the sliders position.
any suggestions?
thanks...

it's like in scooter's song "fire"... when he screams f...i...r...e and it sounds cutted to slices, something like that but one that you can control where to cut...

thanks

I think you're talking about granular.
try granulab. search it. It's for free.
A native app though.

no it's not the granulab and i think i got the solution - modular II !!!!

i just need to know how to use the modular seq control window devices to control volume with audio/midi in/out, i posted to the modular forum too.

Like a slicer? The 8 sliders determined which of the beats would be sounded (from passing through a modulated gate), eg, sliders 1/3/5/7 on would make a chopped like sound, where sliders or switches 1/4/7 would make like a syncopated beat from the audio being passed through it.

In Modular2 a device like that wouldn't be too difficult to make.

use Audio in to a gate, have the gate controlled by the sequencer module which is being timed from the Midi in, and then output the audio from the gate to an Audio Out source. This is a simplistic model idea, but it might give you some ideas.

sounds a bit like those breakpoint envelopes in Native Instrument's stuff...
