Hello,
it's the first time for me in this forum.
I bought a Pulsar and after installed it ,I get many problems most of them because I'm a beginner.
I have tried to use Pulsar with Cubase VST 32 ,using the Pulsar default project with sample rate set to 44.1 kHz , I set cubase audio setup with the Asio scope as Asio device at the same sample rate ,I enable play in background option, but when I try to listen something , for example a vst instrument , I don't hear nothin' ,why?
Please don't smile and help me ,thanks.

Hello Rainmaker! Please, give us information so we can do something. We need to know which Pulsar Card you have, I or II, which Version of the Pulsar software are you using. Have you installed the card and software following the proper instructions through the manual? Have you implied the implementation written in the Pulsar manual to work with Cubase? This is extremely important or you’ll find many other problems! How do you connect your inns and outs to Pulsar? Which external hardware do you use? How do you connect you monitoring system to Pulsar? Can you open and hear an MP3 through a player? Can you hear any sound from Windows, “clicks of the mouse”, “opening menus”, etc? Whatever else you think I could help for us to know what is going on, is welcomed.

BTW: Be welcomed to the very best forum available for Creamware users

Thanks for reply !
I get Pulsar I , I try to use it with the old software version 2.04 , I use the connections from winstart.pro project .I follow all the manual of Pulsar and the items to do for use it with cubase.
I connect the analog out of the card with a cambridge monitor system (not professional ,made from Creative) .With mp3 player I can hear songs mp3 and various sounds but with a very hugh volume .
I have downloaded the new version of Creamware software ,3.1a version , I have update the driver ,but I can't install the software ,it says that it's not compatible with the driver version ,but I have update it with the new one.
Thanks

Make sure that, to hear audio coming from cubase with the ASIO Scope driver, you'll have to load an ASIO Source module in the Scope/Pulsar environment. I don't know if an ASIO module is already present in the default startup project. There should be a sort of default sequencer/cubase project as well.

Hi mr.Rainmaker,

If 'nomen est omen', then you can't live far from here

Some idea's:
-i see you can't play VSTi, can you play audio?

-if Cubase's audio interface is set to ASIO Scope and doesn't release the driver in th ebackground, all audio out from Cubase goes to SFP's ASIO Sources.

-don't know the winstart.pro, so here's a project you could use. Don't look at the mergers or 2nd Seq Src/Dst, they're for a midi editor. The ducker is handy to preview samples or chill out on mp3.

Image

-if that doesn't work, try to set Cubase to send to WAV instead of audio. WAV drivers are slower, but this tests Cubase's MIDI and VST setup.

-get 3.1c quickly. [promo talks;]There's a mirror on my homepage[/promo talks;].

Hope you get it sorted out soon so you can started

I think in the winstart.pro of version 2.04 there was no ASIO source. That's why I'm wondering that you could start Cubase and use the ASIO Scope driver. When I tried this because of a mistake of me, the audio settings of Cubase jumped back to the multimedia driver (latency around 1 hour!!!).
