Hey is there a way to use the digi 001 as inputs and outputs for the pulsar 2 now that they have a asio driver that can be used outside of the protools software. please help

ASIO driver is not the question.
The question is "Can I route the analog inputs of DIGI to ADAT out and can I route ADAT IN to analog outs". If yes, then 'yes, you can use it'. Otherwise, you cannot.

i don't have a converter box so if i could use the 001 that would save me some money that i could use to get a vinco and other creamware plugs. short term solution as i have my eye on an a16 but just can't afford the darn thing

you could do the recording with the 001 asio using wav in sfp to monitor.then you could use asio w/ sfp for mixing........(bet u thought of that tho..)

gee, anything i might say could be foolish 'cause i know so little about what you're working with.you can't break anything by trying stuff.....wish i could be more help...try thinking in terms of hardware when routing.(in other words keep track of ins and outs/signal flow)

samuel, gary is talking that you can record the tracks with DIGI using a multitracker (SFP doesn't see the many tracks at this stage, it's the DIGI drivers that you use).
And after you have done the recording, you can MIX using ASIO SCOPE.
