Omb, we all just call the big mixer the "bug" mixer because it's so buggy. One of those old timer's jokes.

The pink mixer is sort of my fault! Being colour blind I used to find it impossible to tell the difference between the solo'ed and unsolo'ed state of tracks in the Big mixer as there wasn't enough contrast, and I used to moan about this. Ingo uploaded the Pink mixer, which is just the old Big mixer with Pink buttons!

Too bad Creamware didn't debug the BigMixer.....
I really like it's flexible EQ, just keep adding bands till it sounds good... I never understood why Creamware called this module the '4 band EQ' as in fact you can keep adding bands until you run out of dsp

Then there's the EQ on the master section... MIDI-automation on all EQ paramters...... (I use them as very flexible MIDI-controllable filters)..... the large amount of controls crammed on each channel strip for efficient screen usage.... bars instead of knobs for all parameters allows very easy adjustment and readout... and I can go on....
That's why I still use the thing

What's so funny, then? Or were you just having a good time anyway?

all the dust blown up (whoee a new mixer...), than the apotheose: just another color for a poor (

) color blind man.
Well, explaining a joke...

I also found this thread hilarious for a couple of reasons - just wondering why *you* thought it was funny
(I have these strange ways of expressing myself, sometimes.......)
BTW Am I the only one who likes the layout of the Bug Mixer better than the newer mixers?

That's just a secondary site I used for file storage, back in the earlier days. I didn't have enough space then on the main planetz server...

wow, I'm amazed how anyone would choose the bug mixer over the new ones.. but heck, if it works for you. There must have been a super feature that we all missed or something.

Sorry for that but the layout reminds me my 6 year old son toys like MyFirstRecorder or so...

I don't mind, still using My First Sony recorder sometimes for it's specific low-fi qualities

But seriously, the bugmixer may look a bit childish, but I wasn't exactly raving about the aestetics... I like to see all parameters of all channels at once (instead of using the mouse to get an overview), I like the informative nature of sliders, the compact layout.... it's a pity of all the bugs.
