i just downloaded it a few days ago and have been having a blast with it. it kind of works like max msp but it's free and open source.

junklight is a pulsar guy and he uses it a lot. check his site junklight.com

I've used it in the past (in a class), and PD kicks ass!

any one using "pure data"
