As far as I know there is no free VST Rex file player. Some VST samplers do support Rex files though. What sampler do you use?

giga, kontakt, vsampler and battery

Hmmm... No HALion. And Kontakt doesn't support Rex files? I thought it was supposed to be the best soft sampler available.
But if you have ReCycle, then you can also save the slices as .wav files.

Thanks for the link. The Electric Bass pack is very useful for a HipHop producer like me.

phatmatik is a free VST rex player.
http://www.bitshiftaudio.com - however, rex is a proprietary file format. Art @ Bit Shift expanded on the format and made the Phatmatik pro - which uses its own, open file format, and let me tell you, PhatPRo - its the tits!

i just trying phatmatic pro. this is very nice toy/tool

very easy and fast manipulating with every part of loop and sending to separate cubase's chanels for more...

ha! today i learn much new things
btw: with recycle you can break loops and export to midi file and soundfont. than you can load midi in cubase, soundfont in vsampler and play.
this is similar, but phatmatic is all in one

Thanks guys, gonna give Phatmatic a try
Unbelievable what Dan Negrin from
http://www.defectiverecords.com puts his hands on: a recordcompany, Pc1600x unofficial homepage, Mac standalone VSTi host, AND... he collaborated to do the Mac shop for Bitshiftaudio. An octopus he is
