I don't own any Creamware cards but I am seriously looking at an XTC. I want new high quality synths that integrate with logic just like the VST ones. Does the Pulsar XTC do this? (I've read elsewhere on this board that XTC operation is crap!)

How many syths (roughly) do I get at once with a 6 sharc DSP card?

Can I play the XTC synths live from my computer with an external midi keyboard?
(I have a low latency audio card already)

Money is quite tight and the price of an XTC card is approaching a dual Xeon mobo...

Thanks everyone for your help.

Pulsar XTC will do exactly that. And yes, you can play the synths live.

The amount of synth depends heavily on the synth. There are more hungry synths and lighter ones. It also depends on the amount of voices per synth. You can set a synth to have 1 - n voices, the more voices the more DSP it takes.

Thanks heaps

I just needed one voice with confidence in XTC.

Would the card do 4 high quality bass synths with 8 voice polyphony?
