Seems like more people are look here, than in the "Scope development"-area.......

I can't seem to find any info on this. I have heard of a developers kit, but can't seem to find it. I found an email address to some guy at Creamware, who was supposed to be the man to talk with about these things. I mailed him, but didn't get any answers. So now I'm asking here.

- What do I do?
- What do I need?
- Where do I get it?
- How much will it cost me?
- Any toturials around?

Any info on this topic is welcomed!

Cheers!

I guess it's a bit under the hood because a new release is on it's way but delayed due to SFP 3.x, new devices and NOAH (imho).

may be a start though it's not that fresh - or use the search function above.
If you don't plan to sell devices, I'd suggest to sqeeze the Modular though.
The DSP load wouldn't be reduced by custom devices as there are generally the same 'atoms' used. In fact high quality devices eat my four DSPs of the old Pulsar for breakfast - if I had Minimax it would be a TRUE simulation with only 1 voice
If I consider all the great stuff out there it's an incredibly high entry level today.

Thanks for the feedback  And yes tweaking the Modular is great, but the reason why I posted this request, is that I'm interested in the finer arts of making devices from scratch, and get to know the technology behind.
But as I understand from the thread above, the developers kit is quite expensive and needs lots of DSP-power - Or did I misunderstand it?

Cheers!

I've most of my insight of the development package from an article in German Keyboards mag, where the system was reviewed by builing a synth from scratch. The result was the 'Saturn' device - great approach btw to finish a review with a freebe
My knowledge isn't too deep, though I'm trying to collect as much info as possible because I'm interested in the DP myself.
Basically it's like the Modular's interface but on a more detailed level.
The kind of stuff making up the building blocks may be viewed here : http://www.musicdsp.org/
If you have some knowledge about programming and imagine those math rules optimized and packaged nicely in little 'module' boxes with ins and outs THEN you'll recognize the amount of power contained in the DP package.
That's why it's not elcheapo and lightyears from something like a VST interface kit.
The pages of Analog Devices (the Sharc makers) also contain a lot of useful information. Nice PDF downloads there.
Afaik the upcoming version of DP is supposed to run on boards with 6 DSPs. The last price I knew was about 2.5 k € - maybe they'll reduce it to 1.5k (my speculative guess).

Thanks again Astroman  This was the kind of infomation I was hoping to find, and yet I was hoping for something else  2500€ or even just 1500€ is out of my financial reach ;(
I guess that I will have to pursue this interest in the land of VST-devices and DX-devices, where I suspect that the software needed is available for those who's "just trying it out"
So that link you posted might come in handy. But again, if you can point in a good direction about what software to choose, please do that.

Once again, thanks a lot for your help!
Cheers!
