so... i'd like to know what do you use for your gutar records when you plan to use guitar amp modeler for "shaping" the sond after your recording...
i usually use the POD 2.0 tube preamp (but i still prefer using POD for recoring my guitars)
thanks!

Usualy, i put my guitar thru my 'Art TubeMP' tube preamp, then go thru XLR balanced out of it to the XLR in of my Pulsar1+, then into VDAT at 32bits, output of VDAT in mixer, and into the mixer i put the GAM on the insert.

This way i record full dynamics of guitar with the warm CLEAN UNDISTORTED sound into VDAT, then play with the sound afterward. I can also put bunch of effects while playing and still not record them, since they come after the vdat.

I have the cleanest guitar sound on earth this way!

I use several ways, depending on what I need, but my preffered one is:

I plug my guitar to the Joemeek Pro Channel VC3, then to two GAMs, one for left channel and one for right channel using different presets cos it gives to the sound kind of a nice soft flanging effect, then go to a stereo delay, then to a Masterverb, then into the Mixer and finally recording it into Cubase VST.

BTW, the sound I get is not less than spectacular!
