Anyone know of a quality (but not too expensive) 16 channel or 32 channel input only convertor box that could be used with Creamware cards?

I currently have the A16 which is great but I only use 2 outputs for Mix out. What I need are lots more inputs to feed external synths into the SFP environment and it doesnt make sense to buy another A16 cos Im wasting money on outputs I dont need.

Ive written to creamware to suggest them make a 32input box or 16input only box for half the price. Are others interested in such a thing? If so please let creamware know

If you can recommend any alternatives please let me know

I find it a nice idea to have a one way Autobahn (a16).

The only thing that comes to mind is the Apogee AD-16. A very good converter, but if memory serves me it costs twice as much as the A16 Ultra...

If you can get your hands on some used "Tango24" boxes from "Frontier design", you will probably pay $350 per unit. Those units have 8 ADs and 8 DAs, so they´re not exactly what you were looking for I guess. But 16 AD/DA channels would go for $700 (2 boxes). In a "used" state those converters are really cheap but also really good! they sounds "fat", "warm" and "tight". It´s just that nobody seems to "hype" them since there are some newer models availible. I´ve got a RME-ADI converter box and a Tango24. They differ very much in sound, but IMO not in quality (whithout modifications). But when I would be forced to buy a new unit I would probably also go for the "Apogee AD16"....
