Is there anyone who still uses Neutron devices, and Is there any particular ones that you would like to see updated first.

There are quite a lot which are basically experiments that I released for people to play with(like anti-coder), but I think things like Transplanet and Micro (original ver) should be updated to SFP compatibility
(and with option to switch to the new filters)

Thanks
Neutron

I always use Defilter and Dephaser, here's what i suggest:

I would like 1 LFO on X value and one LFO on Y value, on both devices...

I think it would be pretty cool, with setting for min and max value for X&Y (so the lfo won't go further than a certain limit.

What do you think about this?

Also, when X & Y are at 0, the sound should be exactly the same as if i click on bybass, so in can 'remove' effect without having to click on the bybass button (which can also cause some clicks just at that moment).

My suggestions! I love your work, don't stop'em coming!

If the device is usefull to you i will update it. putting an LFO on X and Y is a good idea
thank you for the input

And what about Retron? This device is really great for the more special FX kind of delay effects. I once build a complete song around it. Using the noise of the analog inputs of the Pulsar as a sound source for the Retron. Especially the abbility to put whatever you want in the feedback path is just great.

If anybody is interested in the song I made with retron, I can post it in the music forum, but it's a quite long one (about 10 min) and never finished properly.

cheers,
vincent

Could you please update Transplanet, Trans-X, [H]Distortion, Defilter & Dephaser, Pxr5, type W, d-rider (transmog), Retron and Anti-coder  Yes all your devices are great and also a little off the wall. If I could make a couple of suggestions I would do two things with all your devices:
1. Make the GUIs slightly easier to understand without losing their 'Neutronness' (Pxr5, d-rider, retron)
2. Include (perhaps in pdf format so we can use them in SFP help) short manuals for each device. I find retron, d-rider and anticoder completely confusing.

Keep up the good work with these quirky devices,
TonyR.

i must agree with tony: your devices are really remarkable and original... great idea to have a little .pdf file. your stuff's not always that obvious

transplanet, micro typeW, retron, which i just discovered (it's not in the devices forum!? had to get it from a link somewhere in a thread),... mmmmmmhhhh  thank you

I enjoy [H]Disto and Micro a lot, the LFO is a great idea. Does ADSR/input follower belong to the options too for the XY (aka advanced morph)? I'm sure you can do it!

[edit- cheers sub-read msg below] The .pdf format manuals are quite expensive from what I've heard. Text format or better HTML would be nice. Although Neutron always gives some explanation, his devices might be so unusual/renewing that they're are not always see-and-understand.

First of all thanks everyone for your replies!

Because it is one of the easier ones I am starting with Defilter3 then Transplanet.
I will worry about the others when this is done.

Defilter will have Env follower and LFOs to control x and/or y
LFOs will have BPM reading (but not synced to MIDI because its an insert)
and be retrigerable by input level.
the x and y will be metered so you can see where the joystick would be with the modulation. (similar to vectron joystick i guess)
The new LBH knob uses less DSP.
Diferent types of filters will be switchable (with DSP unloading)

Transplanet will still be free but i might charge $25 for defilter. sorry i have to start charging for some things but now i am looking for a job i cant afford to do everything free

Early beta will be on neutron yahoogroup very soon!

Too bad it won't be free no more, well i guess that since i use it all the times, and that now it's even gonna be alot better, well, tell us when it's ready!

At the same times, make sure your lfos can go very fast, also they should have different waveform, sine, uptriangle, downtriangle, square.

BTW, is it easy to sell your stuff thru creamware shop? Just asking, cuz, this way, i feel kinda secure buying stuff. At least, i know i will always be able to re-download the devices if a loose it, and that the keys is always gonna be available on 'my page'.

After reading others messages here, i tough i'd give a try to Transplanet, and, it's pretty cool also! Has anybody has more preset to it? I only got 4 in mine?

Keep it up, it's cool using your devices, they have a 'fun factor' to them, and all of them are pretty original!

If i sell through the creamware shop it has to be more expensive, because they take a percentage it is not worth it for something as cheap as this.

also creamware looks at something and it can take a long time to be approved.

If you needed to re-download something an email would do the trick. most devices are pretty small.

I burned all my third party devices from smaller developers on to a cd, in case i cant get them anymore. its good because some things have dissapeared.

the new transplanet will have a lot more presets BTW  and some problems will be fixed. for instance on previous versions notes can sound different because the old rotor did not sync to note on. I have made one that does

I really wouldn't mind you moving some of your best/bigger devices to the shop. I agree for smaller things it doesn't make sense. How does payment currently work for your pay devices are you setup through paypal or kagi or something?

See http://www.neutron7.com for ordering details. There's a link to Paypall.

Transplanet 3 which is free is on its way.

*option to use original 2pole or new 4 pole filters
*note on sync problem fixed (in some settings notes sounded different each time you hit it)
*real morphing between oscillators
(you cant change the waveform tho per osc, but it sounds cooler and it uses less dsp) may add "old way" as an option but it will jump up in dsp
*filters are now LBH knob which is morphable
*internal improvements to save on DSP
*cool graphics
*filter keyfollow is centered on c4

Hi all,

We're béta testing the DeFilter3 now, it's nearly finished. Neutron's gonna add the preset list and we're going to try some presets to ship w the DeFilter3. It's one exceptional filterbank: 4 filter types, LFO and Env. Follower. You'll love it.

While we were testing the DeFilter, Neutron7 has updated his Transplanet, which will get an astonishing 3D look. Above you can read the specs, hold on to your tweakie knobs!!!

Oh, I forgot to say, Transplanet will have an 8 step sequencer to control it's filters. And Transplanet will be free.

I don't want to seem an ungrateful bastard, but I know you'd like feedback for the new Transplanet. I dunno if it's just me but I hate green! (sorry). The 'tank' green on the original was OK but this is quite lurid. Also might it be an idea to have the A and B sections in slightly different shades or hues to distinguish them more. Even if it is green I still love your devices

Regards,
TonyR
