File

Type: midi tool

Pulsar Version: Pulsar 3.x

Requires: Modular 2

hello,

i made this little tool to get 4 different chordal voicings from 4 different keyboard octaves, that have the root related to the single note you play on the kbd, and the type of chord related to the octave in wich you play the note.
they output in the same range.

the octaves are: C2-B2, C3-B3, C4-B4, C5-B5.

there are two presets i made, one classical that plays Maj/min/7th/dim.,
and a jazzy one that plays M7th/min7th/7th/dim.

they have standard third intervals, but you can build any kind of four voice chords by transposing the keyzones from the second for each column, living the first as it is to provide root note and the correct output range for any column.

it's very funny to send midi notes with midi drum pads to trig chords or sample clusters....

made with spf.

connect midi in and out and enjoy,
alfonso d'amora.

Hi Alfonso  Great patch which inspired me (and was a tutorial) to create my first own patch or I'd rather say - I modified yours  However I encounter probs while removing your patch (well, mine too) like this:
Image

It's in SP4...

I also discovered that the old Mod2 patches are mdl while the new ones (I belive from 3.1c on) are devs :???:

You are right Sir, the new structure of mod files starts with 3.1c. mdls become devs, everytime you want to delete your module or device you get that annyoing question, are you sure?
It´s like you quit sfp, if you have once open the project window and then you want to quit sfp you will be asked to save your project, if you change something or not.
Well, you have to press cancel to quit your modulars without saving again and again.

The new file system has pros and cons and everybody has different thought on that issue.
Z pleased cwa alot to fix those stupid questions in the past but nothing has changed, yet.
Anyway, you have to go through those additional clicks.
cheers

Hi Chris,

I know the discussion about the question while leaving SFP.
Hmm... There aren't any questions (when removing a mod patch from a project) when the patch was created in SFP3.1c. It only appears in SP4 created patches. So if it's 'a feature' then I don't like it.... But OK, let's talk about it in another thread . Sorry Alfonso for disturbing your place...
