Hi.
First of all, I would like to say that I´m a litlle ignorant at this subject. But, I will try to make sense. I only owns a LUNA card and a LUNA I/O box, that gives me only 3dsps and 8 analog ins, because at my country (Brazil) that kind of hardware is 3x more expensive and we have 3x less money.
. I use it as a home recording system but I am kind of disappointed because I cannot implement the wonderful effects in the vst enviroment in a non-destructive way. As I understand, the only way I could do it is buying a pulsar xtc card. But I have some questions:
1-Does pulsar xtc runs =all= the scope plataform plug-ins in xtc mode (under vst enviroment) or just the ones that are writen for xtc mode?
2-I´ve heard that all the creamware cards that are running dsp system software 3.1 (this is the case with my LUNAII) can run in XTC mode. If it´s true, how can I do it?
3-I was thinking of the possibility for the development community to write a xtc plug-in that was just a send and return auxiliar (SRxtcplugin), that could be easily connected with any effects (or even hardware processors) on free routing window. This is the idea:
VST send > SRxtcplugin send > scope effect in > scope effect out> SRxtcplugin return > VST return...
It would be usefull to pulsarXTC owners to, as they would be able to connect hadware effects processors inside the VST enviroment (what i think would be the only way to do it). I don´t know that such a plug-in would be legal, because as I understand, if this was possible, and if this could function with any dsp system with soft 3.1 running on xtc mode, than pulsar xtc would became useless.
Maybe I´m just talking about bullshit, because as I said, my knowlodge on this subject is very limited. In that case, I´ll have to buy a pulsar xtc, what will not be so bad, as it will give me 9 dsps.
. That´s good for me, but I have to make some more money with my luna...
Well, thanks on advence for anyone that reads this post until the end, specialy for those who may have patience to answer my questions and even consider about my not-so-absurd (I think) idea.
That´s all...
