XTC 3.01 was normally controlled from within the Sequencer, and did not give you the option of editing XTC projects in OS. So info on how to connect merge and directplaycontainer wasn't there.

I've improved efficiency now of XTC, as I make the project with only those exact connections I want to make, saving DSP. In 3.01 XTC, I had to disable unused ASIO, in 3.1 I just don't load the extra ASIO :wink:
Also I can now use midi between software applications because Cubase doesn't have to use all 3 of my mixer. I assign 2 to Cubase,but load 3. Wasn't possible in XTC 3.01, it only loaded the ones selected in ASIO Control Panel :wink: The 3rd (for other soft) is connected to Seq Midi 2 (Cubase) I can use to route to/from other software in SFP XTC mode!

For audio, I route all connected hardware ports to 32 ASIO Dest.
6 ASIO sources go to
-1 analog out -> external mixer->Monitors
-Merge in, merge in to merge out and merge out to asio in.
-DirectPlayMixerContainer -> other analog out -> external mixer->Monitors. I'm not sure how to deal w this Container tho, but it seems to run work...

I activate the input ports in Cubase as I record, saving bandwidth. I renamed all ASIO IO's in Cubase to their connected hardware.

Using MultiFX racks, you can load any SFP/Pulsar insert effect in Cubase, no need for special XTC versions once you're inside the MultiFX rack. Load XTC Delay modules in the VST tracks which have no MultiFX rack.

Anyone who's been able to send sync or CC# (activate rack in Cubase Sync Midi Out) to insert effects? I tried to sync a phaser inside the Multi FX rack, but didn't seem to work.

Enjoy XTC,

at0mic.

Hi!

Do you know a workaround for the following problem?

When I open an old project on SFPv3.1 XTC Mode (Cubase VST 5.1 PC) the MultiFX Modules are empty. All the inserted FX are gone!
Is it because the path for the *.dll's is "XTC" and not "PulsarXTC" now? Can I simply rename the folder without having troubles?

thanks
