The thought just occured to me. NOAH seems kind of neat as I crank out some of Kensu's stuff. 32-sticks. Hmm.

Anyway, since most of us her are committed to the comptuer based PCI platform of CW products, I was wondering what the CW incentive was to broaden its existing user base with that addition of their product line.

Does anyone here have one yet? Any ideas?

It might be out as early as June but I would suspect it to be out a tad later than that...

I don't know. That's very profound question.
I enjoyed the piece but I think more importantly it was about geography. I Realize that in Midwest USA you are a person very far away and maybe since our computers are big and stuck most of the time, NOAH would be easier to get your CW stuff around the world if it was a tad more portable. If I were to travel and I needed my Inferno synth this could become a difficult thing.

I'd have to cross an ocean or two like NOAH.

yeah, you're right about making the work environment more "portable". As you may know, I'm doing stuff for a performance in Finland, and probably in Shanghai as well.. It's kind of scary to think that the only material I'd be able to bring is a finished, mixed CD.

Plus, I may even do some arranging work while I'm in Shanghai and frankly, I don't think I'd want to waste my time getting to know their equipment. And bringing along my PC doesn't seem to be a choice.

But considering the size and the actual "portability" of hardware synths tho, make me wonder which is more prortable, or if either of them are actually small enough to call portable. (and also about shock resistance issues) But it's true we're getting closer to a studio in a box solution everyday. Pulsar as a card is very close, but the PC isn't.

Hey, maybe a NOAH rack would be a nice solution. I'd carry around a rack in my stuitecase, and maybe a CD full of midi files or cubase project file. That's pretty portable. But then again, there's the problem with plugins not being portable at all.

How about the rack Subhuman used to sell?

I have one of the early racks (blue one). It weighs enough to give you a hernia if you aren't careful. I wouldn't try and take anywhere often. . .

i tried noah at the musikmess (it was mainly racks that were there). I found it cool because it works like a real synth (fast preset changes, real pots to play with etc).
i don't know the weight but it mlust be like any synth rack of the same size.
