Try setting to master then back to slave,or restart SFP.

I found this thread and wanted to raise it from the dead again.
I have just about given up on SPDIF ever working correctly (Pulsar 2/SFP).
I gave up trying to get my dbx386 to function properly (never had a problem with tripleBoard).
I have tried this with 3 different devices (4 if you include the dbx unit which worked fine pre-SFP):
1) HHB CD recorder/player - works fine. No problem
2) ART DIO tube digital I/O unit - Audio sounds fine but random pops
3) JoeMeek SPDIF option for my twinQCS preamp - Audio sounds fine but random pops.
Is anyone using the SPDIF input successfully with any type of microphone preamp? If so, could you please tell me which unit you are using and what you are doing to make this work?

Mine does not work either and no reply from support about it.

Same issue with the dbx 386
before SFP (=3.01) all fine
Now corrupted!
Possible solution seems to be to re-install older SPDIF devices with the risk of crackles - not a real alternative if you ask me....

This thread gets disintered again.
Did this problem get resolved?
The Pulsar's S/PDIF input has been hanging limply out the back all the while so I thought I might get it a mate in the form of a preamp such as dbx 386 or similar (suggestions in same price range welcome).

It's indeed hard to get the Pulsar 3.1 software synced to a sp/diff source. But if you have a PulsarII you know you don't have to do that, don't you? Pulsar can stay master and still recieve input from a digital source. Then there are no problems with clicks and other crappy stuff, at least at my computer. Good luck!

In my case I have a Pular2 and it's SPDIF input is plugged into my M-audio TDIF's SPDIF out, and I have NO PROBLEMS, no clicks or pops.

I chain my Lexicon MPX1 via SPDIF, works perfect, except that I regulary have to re-activate the (clock) connection in the MPX1, f.i. after having closed Pulsar.
But no real problems (on mac).
Hope you get it working

Thanks for all the replies guys. Sounds more encouraging.
I wonder if krizrox and the others got their problems sorted.

I haven't solved mine yet. I tried the sp/dif in on the Pulsar I and on the Luna II. In both cases it tries to sync but can not, meaning it gets a signal but can not lock on to it.
