Some people blame CW for being slow on their releases. I am fine with their way of being slow - they are working on it. But with Emagic it seems to be a different situation. They have not promissed Logic gold 5 to be out at a sertain time, but why is it not out? Everything has been made. There is nothing in Gold, that is not included in Platinum. Can anyone come up with a good reason, why Logic Gold 5 is not out now - months after Platinum was released? I feel like an unsupported custommer, that is being pushed into buying a gold4->platinum5 upgrade. I was in a way too with the propack, but that was, because I wanted something extra. I do not want the extras, that platinum provides. Gold and Pulsar will be just fine for me. Sorry for the bad vibes, I guess I just feel treaded bad

I think they might just start everyone on 5.1 which should be available very soon...

I asked the question on another forum, but my words where taken rather harsh. Anyway, what I got out of it was, that they still struggle to supply all Platinum users with registration keys, so I had better stop whining, cause one thing that is worse than having no software is having software and no key.
Reminds me of the joke:

Gold is not out because Platinum 5 is not finished yet !!!
A "reliable source" told me that they won't release (or even "make") Gold until Platinum 5.2 is finished. So it could be anything from 4 weeks to ???

½ a year later, and Logic gold 5 is still not out. If I had not changed to a much better (to me) program, I would be quite pissed over the bad support for the "second class" custommers (Gold users).
Ah well, Apple did me a favour. If it wasn't for them (and all the nice people in this forum replying to my "logic substitute" thread, I would probably never have gotten my hands on Samplitude.
My computer is finnished for now. After 2½ years of fighting my stuff to make it act like I want it to, I have finally reached my goal. Today I sat down and recorded some guitar I had made up. It was just like I had always wanted it to be. No wireing - after getting my extra DSPs I do not need to rewire all the time any longer. I start SFP, and it is ready. I start Samplitude, and it is ready. I push the button, record my music and feel unbehindered. Less tech-work - more freedom for creativity.
Thank you John and all the rest of you. Without this place, I would likely not have reached this initial goal.

Logic Gold version 5 has been out for about four weeks here in Denmark !?

Is it in the stores? I never saw that news on the Emagic site (Logic Gold 5 shipping).
