Anyone know of a software drum / step sequencer that can send midi data over 16 channels in a step sequencer fashion? I want to be able to load my Mega Drums Akai Programs into my STS3000 and send midi notes to the STS3000 to build drums patterns. Some kind of software that can send midi notes on a track to track basis. I know I can do this with Cubase or Logic, but I like the straight forward approach of a 16 or 32 step sequencer that loops back to the beginning. Some kind of stand alone software with midi export.

thanks

I thought Fruity Loops was a sort of sequencer??? Is it possible to combine Pulsar, Cubase, Reason and Fruity Loops?

If yes, how do you route Fruity?

I use them separately (Logic+Fruity) right now (write out loops to audio and drag em around in Logic), but with the next versions of Logic/Fruity, I hope to run Fruity as a VSTi synced to Logic...

Check Fruity's preview on 3.5, where Fruity will be used as VSTi. I was kind of afraid they would skip the sequencer, but it's ALL there
-VSTi
-Multi ASIO per FX channel
-Adv. chopper, quantizer and envelopes
-Speech engine
-Batch export of tracks
-...

Cewl hé
It will still use GUI as in FLP 3.4, but now it will be mixed on your VSTi host

Free updates of course, for life. Except for people who bought boxed version, they need to pay small update fee.

On request I'm putting this one back on: http://proxyed-www.dtig.de:81/whatswrong/ Be prepared to be shocked. Can you hear the birds in the garden?
Nice one At0mic. I clicked on this link... while sitting in a very quiet apartment, wearing headphones, nighttime, in the dark.

I recommend it. Before you click on the link make sure you have headphones on... and preferably turn the lights out. It will take a while but the lights being off definitely help...
