if not: "adios kumpanjos"!
is too much expecting from card in pulsar's rang?
is it too much expecting from cw?

btw: is it possible 88.2khz support with pulsar hardware?

What I expect:
* A few little goodies in ModV2
* Livebar - I'm ambivalent about this. I'll just wait and see how useful it might be.

What I want:
* Lots of additions to ModV2 especially a "save to wav" sequencer function (like every other music program). Now that would be beautiful

But basically I'm pretty happy. Isn't 3.1 primarily just a "coming together" of the different software versions ?

88.2kHz is possible if you slave it to an external clock from 88.2, if you find some machine that can provide that samplerate...

yes! it means that sample rate (in pulsar master mode) depending only on cw's software?

i understand. you have way of working, but i working with costumers and compactibility is no1 important thing to me.
it's realy sad when people leaving this nice platform because cw can't made basic stuff (drivers) on time and can't fix some stupid and iritant bugs.
why more and more people goes to "rme - hammerfall" when pulsar already have nice converters, nice routhings, friendly interface, very low asio latency, adat interface, aes/ebu, and much, much, MUCH more possibilites then hammerfall?
that's the question for cw!

sandrob - I attempted to duplicate your CD problems. I have an IDE Teac 24X CDRW drive, and a Pioneer 16X DVD-ROM drive.

This was performed in Windows XP Professional (product activated).

I used Pulsar V3.01, Pulsar filebrowser open, with STS3000 in the project. I inserted a normal CDROM, a purchased, preburned CD with .WAV samples on it. I was able to see the full contents of the CD in Pulsar. I then opened an Windows Explorer, and was also able to see the contents there. I tried this also with a burned CD full of with my own WAV files. Again, it was visible inside Pulsar, and in Windows Explorer. I tried this in both my CDRW drive, and my DVD drive.

Of course, AKAI cds are only visible inside Pulsar, since they are not windows formatted. This was the same result I obtained under WinME.

Am I doing something wrong?

A few other things: I am up-to-date on the Microsoft Windows Updates including the fix for CDRW issues. I also have the latest ASPI layer installed from http://www.xp-erience.org (I needed it to run Nero). But nothing else fancy.

i do clean xp instal and after that i instal pulsar only. so, i had no other programs in system - just xp and pulsar and had no access to cd drives.
then i update: xp, chip set, graphic card, ultra ata storage, aspi, cd writer drivers, direct x, monitor drivers and every single driver in system, but nothing.
i tried with to substitute sony cd drive with asus. i tried with cd reader disabled or cd writer disabled but without success.
when is simple project in backround or no project than everything works - if i add sts3000 or rm242 in project i had no access to cd drives even from windows explorer.

So I have it "working" then from you point of view, if I have STS3000 in a project, and still have access to the CD in both Pulsar Explorer, AND Windows Explorer?

I just want to be sure I understand the 'problem.' So far, I don't have it...

Did you install the Windows Updates for CDRW, or ASPI layer by any chance?

uf!
thanks, sub, for your interes but it's hard to explain for me.
i update xp (pro) automaticly on microsoft update page and ASPI from adaptec page. it was same before and after that.
i'm now on win98 like some others guys who didn't solve this problem.

I'm just trying to reproduce the problem, then report this to CW. Hard to fix something you don't see... sounds like you had the right stuff installed...

Do you by any chance have SCSI CDROM? What brand is your CDROM/DVD/CDR? (Both my CD drives are IDE).

Hey sub and sandrob, I did have this problem too, winxp did a meltdown this weekend to am back to win98lite and minimum setup. Works fine so far touch wood. Two days straight working on music without a crash, (good for via/amd)
Sub, have you tried putting a dvd in one of the drives, with the file browser open then looking at a cd. For me the problem would only happen every once in a while.
