Talking about VST (incredibly) I've never ever used any soft-synth yet.
I've got quite a few from "Computer Music" magazine, about 25 in fact and would like just to try them out.
I've not idea how to connect them. I would like to try them with Pulsar being "closed" so I can open several at the same time.
Please, how do you use it within Cubase VST? Hope I may find some useful stuff.
Thank you for your help, Nestor.

normaly during instalation you will be asked for the location of your vstplugin folder, which you should find in your cubase programm folder.
once installed you can call the synths from the cubase mixer page, as far as i remember (i´m using logic).
when you have choosen your synth, you have to give one track this synth in the midi channel setting.
good luck, felix

Thanks for the answer Felix, but I've already done all that and still it doesn't work. I'm missing something simple, but important.

It's all in the Cubase VST manual. Read it! That's what they were written for...

Do you know how to load and play the Nuon (comes with Cubase VST 3.7 and higher)?

It's very simple. When you install... Nuon must appear in your VST instruments. v5.0.

In VST 5.0 you go to Panels/VST Instruments and there's a "rack" you can load a total of eight VST Instruments into. Select the one you want to use (for example the Neon). Don't forget to press the power button. Now select a MIDI track and change the MIDI Output from Pulsar MIDI Out to the Neon. Now you can play your keyboard and you'll here the sound of the Neon. Easy!

And it's all explained in the manual too! Can you believe it? That is, if you got one...

hi nestor,
now something explaining your "problem"!
a) the neon synth is in your cubase integrated when you have installed it.
b) there is a window where you can find the point "vst instruments"- first you have to activate the red button on the synth to get power on the synth!
c) then you are going to a miditrack in your arrangement. there you can choose the output device where your midi-signal has to go to (normally it´s pulsar midi-out) - in this case you have to choose "neon".
d) now you can play the neon synth on that track!
e) if you want to use other vst-instruments, you have to put the devices in that folder which is under vst in your explorer window. when you are starting cubase then, cubase should find the new synths, you can push the "on-button" in the window "vst-instruments" and follow the other instructions...
f) you can also use this vst-instruments on a similar way in logic...
that´s all
good luck
