7 steps to dub!

Modules/devices needed : Dynamixer, Delay, Filter or other effect to put in feedback loop, audio SOURCE, audio DEST

1: connect your physical out directly to your physical in (loopback)
2: connect your signal to a dynamixer input
3: and the dynamixer output to the delay input
4: turn the dry signal completely off in the delay , get the dry signal from elsewhere(i actually had it turned on once and there was no adverse effects using A16 as loopback device)
5: connect the delay output to the feedback effect device input
6: connect the feedback effect device output to the loopback destination
7: connect the loopback source to another channel of the dynamixer (that channel is feedback level control) I hope this makes sense..i have tried it and it works.

. . . and now: 3 steps to dub!

whilst fiddling with modular 2, i came up with an easier way of doing this all within pulsar - no need to loop your physical I/O's, as this is all software.

first, you need the "dub delay" module:
http://planetz.ghostwheel.com/forums/vi ... forum=15&0

1. connect sound source (synth, guitar, er whatever) to dub delay in 1
2. connect dub delay out 1 to dub delay in 2(this creates the feedback loop)
3. connect outs 3/4 of dub delay to your monitors, mixer, or whatever else you use to listen to.

a better (stereo/fx/time sync, with patches) version to follow if and when I can get the Infiniti Delay by Hummell to be updated for Modular compatability . . .

and 2 steps would be:
1. take one Neutron Retron
2. plug whatever you want into feedback loop

no that would still be three steps, cuz you would have to buy the vectron as the first step!

i wouldn't mind vectron...

but seriously retron allows realy sick routings like putting any distortion in feedback loop (it can be modular patch also  ) or wiring 2 retrons together. i recently put retron in xenon sidechain and stereo effects made me dizzy. and negative feedback and crossfeedback flexibility allows much even without connecting anything additional.

sorry - i misread - you said retron, not vectron! i have a beta from awhile ago, is v1 out? DeFex was making some changes I thought . . .

last one is beta3 AFAIK.
altrough not finished it is great effect.
external connectivity in retron and xenon is realy cool.

I think the easiest way to generate a feedback loop in Pulsar/Modular2 is to use the xfade/feedback connector module (from the modifier directory)

As an example check Montys Montylay:
