Similar problem, under xp but the error occurs in base.dll
It happens every so often loading ether pulsar mixer or dynamixer, but nothing else.
I thought it was my display drivers at first because I display pulsar on the second monitor. Now I'm more inclined to think of it as a creamware bug/ or memory leak.

I used to get an error in base.dll on exit from Pulsar in Win98SE. Since I've moved to XP they're disappeared

Now I just get auto reboots on device deletion.

You've got to laugh....

I had this problem , traced it to irq sharing on the slot, I changed the pc to std type and set seperate irqs for each slot and disabled acpi, also disabling all the unused on board stuff clears up irq for you eg com1,2,printer,usb,ide2 etc.
