Quotation from CW forum:
<FONT COLOR="BBBBEE">
"The Pulsar ProPack will be available only until March 31. After this date, the devices of our DSP products will be included in different device packages - two synthesizer packages, two mixer packages, two effect packages and a VDAT recording package.
The idea is that all users get the same system software – the SCOPE Fusion Platform (SFP) v3.1 – that includes all basic devices and modules. The different products like Luna, Pulsar or SCOPE /SP differ in the hardware and also in the bundled packages with additional devices, but all device packages are optionally available to all users.
Pulsar users who have not bought the ProPack so far, will not get the ProPack devices with the SFP v3.1 software for free, so this is the last chance to get them now for the old bargain price."<B>

I read out of the NAMM brochure that the update to V3.1 is FREE!
I have Pulsar XTC but the INFERNO is in the Synthsizer-Package II (v3.1). Do I have to pay again for my synths to get Prisma and Lightwave?

I think you want Prisma & Lightwave for free - a big optimist

Now I want it to know, what pulsar users will get without the propack. Will we get those things which are written in the namm posting (Mixer Package 1, Effects Package 1 and 2, Syntheziser Package 1 and 2, Modular 2, Volkszämpler, STS2000, STS3000)?
Or will we get only Syntheziser Package 1 without the second Package and so on?
Cheers

I agree mr hell, clarification from Creamware on this would be nice. Remember most of the items listed are for new users (it has been said by CW that if you don't have propack, you won't get it for free even with V3.1). I think there are some exceptions - I really hope exisiting Scope/SP users get all the devices.

Yes, it's hard to tell. I bought the STS3000 when CW had their "special summer price". And a week or so after I bought it the announcement came about the ProPack. I was - to put it mildly - very disappointed, their "special" became "specially expensive" for me.
So this time when they say "Hurry and get the ProPack" is it for real? The press release seems pretty definite that the ProPack bargain will not continue, but who knows what will come after? Certainly the ProPack is a great deal and I've not regretted it for a moment even though I already had the STS and ModV2....

Sorry guys from creamware,
I think that it isn´t a good idea, not giving
the non propack users the prisma and the inferno because they were shipped with earlier pulsar software version (like3.01).
I have those synths in several projects and I want to use them in my projects in the future as well. As a customer of creamware
products I have the RIGHT, to get those things ( like prisma and inferno) in future updates.
If this seems to be real (that prisma and inferno isn´t shipped with 3.1 anymore), then you are (creamware) liars.
I´ve heard from creamware that every software update for pulsar users is for free
(and I don´t mean new devices), but devices which were once for free should for free
in the future too.
If it really seems to be like that, it makes me angry to see how firms like creamware force us to buy the updates.
Greets
Stefan

I read from creamware, that what you have, you will still have after... And BTW, you can keep copy of them? They will still work! Like the FM One, is not included in installation of v3.01, but i still have it? i have made copy of it! And it work! So, what is the problem? People wich buy the propack, will get exactly the same thing as before, and people that didn't buy it, well, they still get what they paid for!
About the Arpeg01 that is free for Propack owner, well it cool, but it nothing, you know you have an arpegiator included in Loigc, in FruityLoop, and i'm not sure but probably in Cubase also... So, cool, but that's all...
I want the SFP3.1 NOW !!

Hmmm ....

But if ScopeFusion 3.1 will demand keys for every <b>packet</b> separately ? And if you will must register 'Synthesizer Package II' first to be able to load Prizma or Inferno to the project ?

Do not worry. Look, if you're working in V3.0 there's this folder with 2.04 devices. You could still load older devices.
Atom's or .dsp files could change, so presets may sound different.
You will always be able to load older devices. ie. Inferno 3.0 requires no special key, it will not require that even if you work in OS 3.1.
Don't worry, nobody looses here.

I guess, this is a very old question, but I still do not have Modular II, so...
Should I buy Propak? I do not have Modular II yet. What do you think? Advices please.

Same question as Nestor I mean we could just as easily go out and buy the propack for however much it is, only to find that the same/better offer is available at a better/same price. If you see what I mean.
Please please please advise.

Interesting dilemma.
By going to a common OS CW is really forced into a more logical reorganisation of devices. And much like the furore about the ProPack release (and I was one of the angry mob), there's bound to be the same problems again.
The ProPack is great value. It's hard to see how CW could group together such a top selection of devices and come up with a better (read: realistic & commercial) price.
One of CW problems is highlighted by the current prices in the CW shop. The propack includes the ModV2 and STS3000, yet these devices are also still on sale individually for a higher cost than the whole ProPack ! What way will CW go here: make people who didn't buy the propack curse and scream at the missed opportunity; or make non-Pulsar users fume that the cost of identical devices is so much more expensive now that they've "joined in" to the main OS ?
Who knows?
I think it comes down to two things:
1) The ProPack is fantastic value
2) As new product comes in, old product gets cheaper or becomes "standard".
I'd buy the proPack now if I didn't have it.
But then I bought the STS as a "summer special" and then two months later bought the proPack
I haven't helped much have I ?

Being on a budget, I will just wait till I eventually can get a "burned in" P2 with the propack.
