Wow!
I attended the first Tour Date last night for the new Pro Tools HD system...
I had no idea previously how big this was gonna be, but it's quite possibly the biggest single product release/advancement for the digital recording industry since the advent of the DAW!
Of course, most of us are not in that high-end game (I know I'm not!), but I couldn't help but be impressed to the point of needing to contain my excitement!
Almost as cool is the new M-Box that Digi is releasing, which is a USB audio interface. It's 2-in, 2-out, 2-insert, 2 focusrite mic pre's, phantom power, 100% USB-powered, PC/Mac, runs with Pro Tools LE 5.3, and will sell for just over $400 street!!!
I also heard some demos recorded at 24-bit, 192khz in surround sound... it was better than being there.
Anyway, just a heads up for interested parties.
